Your role will be focused on electrical apparatus testing at various customer sites. This will require significant technical experience, safety-focused risk mitigation, and superior customer service.
Field Duties
Lead technician crews to perform maintenance, testing, and repair scopes safely and efficiently.
Read and understand electrical diagrams (One-Line Drawings, Arc Flash Drawings)
Inspect and test electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and other utility substation apparatus.
Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools, power tools, aerial lifts, and platforms.
Conducted on-site scope reviews and provided technical input on execution techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
Prefer an Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or a EE Degree from an ABET accredited college, similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee).
NETA/NICET Certification or Electrician license preferred.
Prefer at least 5 or more years of relevant experience performing electrical testing & troubleshooting.
Must have computer skills including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerDB is a plus.
Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
Prefer OSHA 10/30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70 E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Pittman Power.
Must be able to drive daily locally/regionally and be available for periodic overnight travel.
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a clean driving record.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays, and nights.

Overview
The Temp Power Coordinator manages electrical activities regarding temporary power for the 2025 refinery turnaround; including scope of work, material, and execution of work.
Location
Based in DFW (project location: Kansas)
Job Duties
The coordinator will:
Have a strong technical understanding of the following equipment in a refinery setting (MV and LV equipment, 15KV,4160V,2400V 480V) cables, generators, transformers, breakers, relays, LOTO procedures, project manage all temporary power needs with the plant operations and all contractors that need support throughout all phases of the TA.
Learn all elements of the assigned temp power plan.
Oversee assigned areas with maximum possible time in the field.
Resolve any issues arising between contractors.
Ensure adherence to the daily installation plan.
Address proactively any problems with time, quality, cost, productivity, and safety.
Report the daily status/progress of each job through the Planning and Reporting System.
Supervise housekeeping for the assigned areas.
Approve/validate any changes in daily manpower and equipment/tool inventory.
Attend daily T/A turnover status meetings.
Participate in safety tours and ensure compliance with safety training and orientation procedures.
Support goals of the T/A and develop a complete understanding of their functionality.
Coordinate, manage, and assist assigned staff.
Review any added SOW with the Planners for scheduling and cost impacts.
Maintain a positive working relationship among all contractors and crafts.
Ensure that all area personnel are qualified and properly trained in applicable work and safety procedures.
Participate in pre shutdown planning and recommend plan, schedule, or job sequencing revisions, as appropriate.
Direct and manage all the daily and weekly activities for the temp power SOW.
Inform the project management team of any plan/schedule deficiencies and recommend corrective measures.
Supervise safety, quality, schedule, and cost of assigned area.
Review and communicate to management any out of scope work that could impact budget and schedule.
Ability to understand and read electrical one-line drawings.
Assist QA/QC in performing close out documents.
Qualifications:
Strong background regarding electrical theory, reading one-line drawings, reviewing switching orders, and implementation of electrical safety protocols.
Experience in Turnaround Executions, specifically with refineries
Electrical Testing and Maintenance experience is a plus
Willing to travel for a minimum of 10 months for project completion.
